Christmas

This year Alex & Yves got up early & opened presents, while Max & I stayed in bed.... so there wasn't any pics of opening the gifts...
It was a "White Christmas", we stayed in all day, after there were even little hills of snow on the balcony. Yesterday it snowed all day and it was windy too, creating the little hills. We had a simple lunch & for dinner Yves cooked a chicken & vegies.... we had a ice cream bûche for dessert.

15-20cm of snow fell yesterday afternoon, it was hard pushing a pram up hill in the snow...

Cleo is also getting ready for Christmas.... happy to be back home after being lost for 4 months in the wild... she was wild before she got lost and so she hasn't changed a bit.

Big Snow...

On Monday is snowed all day and there was about 15-20cm of snow everywhere... my docs (dr martens) have worn out a bit so I had to buy some snow shoes. Of course, everyone from Metz was in the sports shop also buying snow shoes. So I had to buy the "big purple monster" shoes, lucky I'm a purple person. Max & Alex also got snow shoes, gumboots just won't do slippery snow!

The snow is still around, on Tuesday it took me 20 minutes to dig the car out. Driving in the snow is not something I'm fond of.

It don't think the snow will melt very much tomorrow, the low is -10°c & the top will be -2°c. Another fun day is on it's way.

today in Metz

Today we visited the centre of Metz, we had a fabulous ride and then a walk about the christmas goodies... it was cold & not too many people... usually things like this, it is packed with people. Alex saw Santa, unfortunately Max was sleeping in the stroller. Warm wine & hot chocolate, a perfect winter combination.

Nancy: aquarium & park

Today we went to Nancy, to visit the museum & aquarium. After we visited the park next door, Alex had a ride & some fairy floss... but it seems to rain here all of the time, but people seems to do things if it's raining or not.
